NSIC preseason polls released
BURNSVILLE, M.N. (NorthernSun.org) — The 2019-2020 NSIC Women’s and Men’s Preseason Coaches Poll was released by the league on Thursday.
On the men’s side, Minnesota State was selected by the league coaches as the preseason favorites with 214 points, garnering seven first places votes. Northern State gathered 177 points, good for fourth.
On the women’s side, Minnesota State University Moorhead was selected by the league coaches as the overall and north division preseason favorite in the NSIC for the 2019-20 season. The Dragons received nine first place votes and amassed 217 points. Northern State gathered 82 points, good for twelfth place.
The Northern men open their season November 8th vs South Eastern Oklahoma State in Oklahoma City. The Northern women also open their season November 8th at home vs Rogers State.
