PIERRE, S.D.—The COVID-19 pandemic has already claimed a lot of summertime events.

There’ll be no Legion baseball this summer. The Crystal Springs Rodeo, the Redlin Art Center’s Fourth of July celebration and the North Dakota State Fair have all been cancelled in the interest of public health and safety.

But South Dakota’s State Fair is still on—at least for now.

Governor Noem was asked at her Tuesday press briefing if she sees a scenario where the fair can still be held in early September, and if a member of her cabinet will be part of those conversations….

The fair is scheduled to be held September 3rd thru the 7th.
