PIERRE, S.D.—South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has made growing the state’s economy one of her top priorities, and one of the ways to make that happen is by creating more multi-family workforce housing projects around the state.

Governor Noem is asking the Governor’s Office on Economic Development to make low-interest loans from the state’s REDI Fund available for more housing construction.

She talked about it Wednesday during Watertown Day at the Capitol…..

Noem says some business owners are reluctant to expand their businesses because people won’t move without good housing choices.
