PIERRE, S.D. – Governor Noem has signed Senate Bill 99 into law, which funds the Dakota Events CompleX (DEX) at the South Dakota State Fair.

In a prepared statement, the governor said, “the new DEX will be a state-of-the-art facility that will attract regional and national events to Huron.”

It will replace the Beef Complex Building on the fairgrounds that burned down in a fire last October.

The estimated cost of the DEX is $19 million. It should be finished in time for the 2022 State Fair in Huron.
