PIERRE, S.D. — A South Dakota House committee examining whether Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg should be impeached for his conduct after killing a pedestrian with his car in 2020 is planning to wrap up its investigation.

The nine-member House Select Committee on Investigations will meet in Pierre on March 28th, at which time they’re expected to recommend whether the full House of Representatives consider an impeachment of Ranvnsborg.

KWAT News talked recently with Governor Noem about this topic, and asked her how she thought the process of getting to this point has played out…

Ravnsborg was driving on Highway 14 near Highmore in September 2020 when he struck and killed a pedestrian.

He was distracted at the time, and the vehicle had drifted onto rumble strips on the shoulder of the highway.
