WATERTOWN, S.D.–With elections on this year’s calendar, candidates in South Dakota are announcing their intentions to run for office, raising money and seeking endorsements.

Governor Kristi Noem, who’s running for a second term, received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump earlier this month…

Trump is a polarizing political figure, and Noem tells KWAT News that even though she doesn’t agree with everything the former president says or does, she’s happy to have his endorsement…

Noem is one of three candidates in the gubernatorial race. The others are Republican Steven Haugaard and Democrat Jamie Smith.
