Noem explains decision to veto marijuana-related bill (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–When South Dakota lawmakers met in Pierre Monday, they failed to override a veto issued by Governor Noem as it relates to marijuana convictions.
The bill would have allowed people with minor pot offenses to have those convictions wiped off their criminal record after five years.
Supporters of the bill, including Democrat Senator Troy Heinert of Mission, say these minor drug offenses can be a roadblock for people looking for work….
