WATERTOWN, S.D.–A driver and passenger escaped injury Monday morning in a rollover crash in Watertown.

Police Corporal Cody Trumm says it happened just before 6:30 in the 800-block of First Avenue Northeast. That’s where a Toyota Rav 4 driven by a 21 year-old Watertown man collided with a  parked and unoccupied Jeep Cherokee.

The Toytoa was westbound on First Avenue Northeast when it struck the rear of the Jeep, pushing it onto the boulevard.  The Toyota flipped onto its roof before coming to a stop on the road.

Both the driver and passenger of the Toyota were buckled up and escaped injury. However, the driver was cited for Careless Driving, Driving Without a Valid License, and Driving With an Obstructed Windshield or Windows.

Police are reminding everyone to make sure your windows are clear of all snow and ice before traveling in a vehicle.
