VERMILLION, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — South Dakota’s Carson Camp became the first true freshman in Coyote recorded history to start a season opener at quarterback. Even though his season was only four games long this spring due to COVID, he was ranked in the top-20 nationally in passing yards per game and was the second-leading passer in the Valley in terms of yards per game.

Coach Bob Nielson is excited to see the progression of his young quarterback coming into fall camp:

Due to NCAA rules related to the pandemic, the Yotes will have a deeper roster this season:

The Coyotes open the season at Kansas on September 3rd.
