NEW: Watertown City Engineer Heath Von Eye announces resignation  (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown will be in the market for a new public works director and city engineer soon.

Heath VonEye announced his resignation at Monday night’s city council meeting…..

He shared with the council what’s next for him….

Mayor Ried Holien says he’s sad to see Von Eye leave the city…

VonEye came to Watertown from Gillette, Wyoming, where he was the Director of Development Services and City Engineer.

He’s an SDSU graduate and a former Assistant City Engineer in Brookings, and Public Works Director in Madison, South Dakota.

VonEye’s last day of work for the city of Watertown will be November 5th.
