NEW: Two people critically injured in crash north of Ortonville

GRACEVILLE, Minn. (KFGO) – Two people were critically injured in a crash on Highway 28, north of Ortonville, in western Minnesota’s Big Stone County.

The State Patrol said two vehicles were traveling westbound shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday when the vehicles collided.

The driver of a pickup, 68-year-old Maynard Arndt, of Graceville, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The patrol said he had been drinking.

A five-year-old  passenger in the second vehicle, Lyla Locke of Sisseton, was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with life-threatening injuries. The driver and another passenger had injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to the Graceville Hospital.
