SISSETON, S.D.—South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Director David Natvig confirmed today that DCI agents are assisting local authorities in a shooting incident in Sisseton that occurred Wednesday night.

A Sisseton Police Department officer, conducting a traffic stop, was shot at by an individual. The officer was not injured.

Natvig says in a press release that, “both the shooter and the driver of the vehicle are in custody.” The names of those in custody have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.

No other details have been released.
