BRADLEY, S.D.–No injuries to report after a pickup slid off South Dakota Highway 20 and into a slough.

Clark County Chief Deputy Lindsay Stiefel says a passerby reported seeing the partially submerged truck around 7:20 this morning.

After authorities determined there were no occupants in the vehicle, they began tracking down the owner.

Stiefel says that person is from North Dakota. She says the pickup hit a patch of ice on the highway Wednesday night around 8 p.m. and slid down a steep ditch into the water.

The driver will be cited for Failing to Report an Accident and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Responding to the call were the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Clark County Emergency Manager, Codington County Search and Rescue, Bradley Fire Department and Performance Towing.
