WATERTOWN, S.D.—A groundbreaking was held Thursday afternoon on a $12 million dollar development project in downtown Watertown.
“The Marketplace” is a Crestone Companies project that will be built at the corner of Kemp Avenue and 1st Street Northwest. It will include a mix of 10,000 square feet of retail space and 60-plus apartment units.

Demolition work on the construction site is underway now.
“The Marketplace” is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2023.
