WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown police, Watertown Fire Rescue, the Codington County Sheriff’s Office and Codington County Emergency Management held their 21st annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday.
Fifty one volunteers from many different organizations attended.
Janet York was presented the Friend of Public Safety Award for her ongoing and dedicated service to Codington County Search and Rescue.
The Friend of Public Safety Award is given to a volunteer who has shown dedication that goes “above and beyond” to one of the emergency service organizations in the community.
