WATERTOWN, S.D.–Mindy Wirkus has a passion for small business development, and now she’s seeing that development on her very own property.

Wirkus is the founder, president and owner of Ledger’s Incorporated–a tax preparation and bookkeeping business at 9 South Broadway in Watertown.

Several months ago, she purchased two buildings next door–at 11 and 13 South Broadway.

She’s expanding her business into those two buildings, along with a complete remodel of the exterior…

Before deciding to purchase the two buildings next door, Wirkus tells KWAT News there was some consideration of moving her business to another town…

Because of the age of the buildings, the remodeling is being done in such a way to maintain the historical look and feel of the original properties.
