NEW: Codington County inmate escapes while at medical appointment

WATERTOWN, S.D.–An inmate at the Codington County Detention Center has escaped after fleeing from a medical facility during a doctor’s appointment this morning.
The inmate is identified as 39 year-old Justin Taube of Willmar, Minnesota.
He was in jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Sheriff Brad Howell says there is no immediate danger to the public, but he’s asking anyone who sees him to not confront the individual, but to report the sighting to the sheriff’s department.
