National champion SDSU football team being honored at public event

BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The national champion South Dakota State football team will be honored Tuesday, January 9, during a public event at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings.
The National Championship Celebration begins at 5 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and no admission will be charged.
The half-hour program will feature remarks from team and university personnel, as well as performances by cheer squads.
For fans unable to attend the event in person, Midco Sports will provide live television coverage starting at 4:45 p.m., with additional coverage on the SDSU Athletics YouTube channel and the Jackrabbit Sports Network at 5 p.m.
