Names released in deadly crash in Deuel County

DEUEL COUNTY, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of two men involved in a head-on crash last week on U.S. Highway 212, ten miles northeast of Clear Lake.
Fifty three year-old Richard Vant Hul of Sioux Falls was killed in the crash.
The other driver, 27 year-old Kevin Mengich of White Bear Lake, Minnesota sustained serious injuries.
The crash happened when Mengich attempted to pass a vehicle in front of him, and struck Vant Hul’s approaching car.
