Name change to Lake Area Technical College becomes official today (Audio)

WATERTOWN, S.D.–No more Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown.

As of today, the two year school is known as Lake Area Technical College.

The switch from “institute” to “college” is being made at all four tech schools in the state.

The name change bill was sponsored in the South Dakota House by Representative Hugh Bartels of Watertown.
