HENRY, S.D.—A motorcycle driver suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Henry Friday night.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol tells KWAT News the motorcycle, driven by a 61 year-old man, collided with an ATV driven by 54 year-old Lacy Shepherd of Henry.

The ATV was westbound on the shoulder of Highway 212, at 437th Avenue, and attempted to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway when it collided with the motorcycle, which was also westbound on 212.

The ATV had three passengers, one of which sustained minor injuries.

The patrol says charges against Shepherd are pending.

The name of the motorcyclist was not released.
