Mors named SD Gatorade Player of the Year

(News Release) — Matthew Mors of Yankton High School has been named the 2019-2020 Gatorade South Dakota Boys Basketball Player of the Year.

The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field. He is now a finalist for the Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year award.

Mors averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals through 21 games this season and has maintained a 3.96 GPA in the classroom..

Mors is the second player to be chosen as Gatorade Player of the Year from Yankton High School.
