WATERTOWN, S.D.–More trouble for a Watertown man whose already charged with murder.
Codington County Sheriff Brad Howell tells KWAT News Jeremiah Peacemaker was arrested earlier this month after assaulting a fellow inmate at the Codington County Detention Center.
Howell says deputies were called to the jail at 9:09 pm on the night of October 8th on a report of a fight in a cell block.
Peacemaker assaulted a fellow inmate after an argument broke out over a chess game.
He’s charged with Simple Assault.
Peacemaker was already in jail on a murder charge in the death of 28 year-old Kendra Owen of Watertown. He’s being held on one million dollars bond on that charge.
Howell says Peacemaker has been in jail for 418 days since his arrest for murder.
