More than one in four South Dakotans have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine  (Audio)

PIERRE, S.D.–The South Dakota Department of Health reports 26 percent of state residents have received an least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Just under 14 percent have received both doses.

Governor Kristi Noem says South Dakota has been one of the top states in the country in terms of efficiently rolling out the vaccines since they became available…

She says government has stayed out of the way…

The single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine becomes available this week. South Dakota is expected to receive 7,500 doses, in addition to its allotment of Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
