Momentum for the next economic stimulus plan seems to be mounting in Congress

WASHINGTON (WNAX) — Momentum for the next economic stimulus plan seems to be mounting in Congress.

A coalition called the “Problem Solvers Caucus” made up of democratic and republican Members of Congress are spearheading that effort.

Minnesota democratic Congressman Dean Phillips says they have been pushing the process for several weeks

South Dakota republican Congressman Dusty Johnson says the plan seemed to be at a standstill last week

Phillips says they recognize the financial impacts looming

Johnson says they are seeing their ideas become the floor for the next plan

The plan would spend about nine hundred billion dollars with big pieces of that on another Paycheck Protection Program and additional unemployment benefits.
