Mitchell man dies of injuries sustained in car crash

ETHAN, S.D.–A Mitchell man has been identified as the person killed in a crash near Ethan, South Dakota this month.
Thirty six year-old Matthew Hopkins was southbound on Highway 37, two miles northwest of Ethan, when the car he was driving left the roadway and went into the west ditch, hitting a power pole.
Hopkins was not buckled up, and was thrown from the vehicle.
The crash occurred October 7th.
The Highway Patrol says Hopkins died from his injuries yesterday (Tuesday) in a Sioux Falls hospital.
