Mitchell doubles up Watertown

MITCHELL, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) – Mitchell Post 18 would take both games of a doubleheader on Wednesday against Watertown Post 17.

Mitchell would take advantage of six Watertown errors in a 14-5 game one win. Braedon Zaug had two of Watertown’s five hits. Ryan Roby had one hit and one RBI while Jack Heesch had two RBIs Andrew Czech saw his first action on the hill after injury going four innings allowing six hits, eight runs, five earned, walking six, while striking out one.

Mitchell would put down 10 hits in a run-rule shortened 12-1 game two win. Roby had two of the Watertown three hits. Kyle Karst pitched three innings allowing six hits, seven runs, five earned, and walking four. Bryce Hult and Roby each saw time on the hill in relief.

Watertown (11-20) will play four games as part of the Renner pool at the Dakota Classic this weekend

Watertown Junior Legion would split with Cando, North Dakota last night winning game one 13-9 but falling in a close game two, 7-6. Watertown JL (18-7) will travel to the Marshall Tournament this weekend.
