Minnwest Bank announces merger agreement with Minnesota-based Roundbank

Minnwest Bank, which operates banking locations in several eastern South Dakota communities, announced today it has signed a merger agreement with Waseca, Minnesota-based Roundbank.

Minnwest Bank President and CEO Doug Karsky says the merger, “represents an exciting opportunity for Minnwest to expand its geographic footprint and customer reach.”

Roundbank operates four branches in the Minnesota cities of Waseca, New Prague, Waldorf and Farmington.

Minnwest Bank is a family-owned bank with 32 branches throughout Minnesota and South Dakota, including locations in Florence, Summit, Wilmot, Big Stone City and Sioux Falls.

Completion of the merger is expected to occur by the end of this year, and is contingent upon regulatory approval.
