Minnesota pair arrested in Watertown for Forgery, Possession of Stolen Property

WATERTOWN, S.D.–A pair of Shakopee, Minnesota residents have been arrested in Watertown for possession of stolen property.

Police Captain Kirk Ellis says on Sunday afternoon, police got a tip about a possible stolen fish house and construction trailer in Watertown.

Through their investigation, officers made contact with 47 year-old Richard Rein and 52 year-old Tammy Rein.

A search warrant was executed at a Watertown storage facility, along with a hotel.

Officers located a large number of stolen tools linked to the construction trailer. They recovered a stolen fish house along with an enclosed trailer. Both trailers had been stolen from Minnesota.

Both suspects were booked into the Codington County Detention Center on charges that included Possession of Stolen Property and Forgery.

Richard Rein was being held on $10,000 cash bond. Tammy Rein was being held on $5,000 cash bond or surety.
