WATERTOWN, S.D.—Watertown police continue investigating the drug-related death of a woman this fall.

The 41 year-old woman went into full cardiac arrest when police were dispatched on a medical distress call to the 10 block of 5th Street Southeast during the early morning hours of September 26th.

Police say the victim died while injecting methamphetamine.

Watertown Police Detective Chad Stahl said today (Tuesday) that toxicology results showed the woman had “lethal levels” of meth in her system.

No arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
