WATERTOWN, S.D.—Recreational opportunities have been dwindling in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sporting events have been shut down. Rec centers and fitness clubs have been too.

One sport that’s still available in Watertown is golf.

Mayor Sarah Caron says the city-owned and operated Cattail Crossing will remain open for golfers.

She says there’s been some confusion as to why that is, and she explained at today’s (Thursday’s) daily press briefing..…

The mayor says no decisions have been made yet on whether campsites at Stokes-Thomas City Park will be open this summer.
