March temperatures more than seven degrees above normal in Watertown

WATERTOWN, S.D.–The month of March was a warm one in South Dakota.
The National Weather Service says Watertown’s monthly average temperature of 36.7 degrees was 7.3 degrees above normal.
The warmest day of the month came on the 29th at 79 degrees. The coldest day in March was on the first when we dropped to six degrees.
Precipitation for the month was 1.38 inches, which included 10.8 inches of snow in Watertown.
