SISSETON, S.D.–A Nevada man sustained life-threatening injuries in a single vehicle crash in Roberts County Monday morning.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Tony Mangan says it happened on a county road 10 miles south of Sisseton just before 8:00 a.m.
A car driven by 45 year-old Robert Shepherd of Henderson, Nevada was southbound when Shepherd lost control, went into the east ditch, struck a power pole and rolled.
Shepherd was the only occupant of the vehicle. He was taken by amublance to Coteau Des Prairies Hospital in Sissseton, and was later airlifted to a hospital in Fargo.
Mangan says he was not wearing a seat belt, and charges are pending.
