Man killed in Highway 212 crash in Potter County identified

GETTYSBURG, S.D.–The South Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a man killed in a two vehicle crash west of Gettysburg on Highway 212.

Thirty five year-old Joseph Skye of Rapid City was a passenger in a car that collided head on with a pickup truck last Thursday night.

The driver of the car, 24 year-old Mariah LeBeau of Aberdeen, sustained life threatening injuries and was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.

The pickup driver, 19 year-old Calen Decker of Gettysburg, was not injured.
