Man killed in head-on crash on U.S. Highway 281 in Beadle County

WOLSEY, S.D.–One person died Sunday afternoon in a two vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 281 in Beadle County.
The Highway Patrol says it happened 13 miles south of Wolsey.
A car was southbound and collided with a northbound pickup that was in the wrong lane.
The 77-year-old male driver of the pickup was taken to the Huron Hospital where he died.
The 66-year-old male driver of the car suffered minor injuries and also was transported to the Huron hospital.
Names of those involved have not been released.
That area of U.S. Highway 281 was closed to traffic for about five hours following the crash.
