Man killed in crash on Highway 37 north of Groton

GROTON, S.D.–A man is dead following a single vehicle crash in Brown County.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened early Wednesday morning, around 1 a.m., on State Highway 37, sixteen miles north of Groton.
A 39 year-old man driving a pickup was southbound when the vehicle left the highway, went into a ditch, and hit a telephone pole.
The victim was dead at the scene.
His name has not been released.
