Man killed in crash in western Minnesota’s Chippewa County

MAYNARD, Minn.–The Minnesota State Patrol says a Pelican Rapids man was killed in a crash in Chippewa County on Tuesday.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. A semi and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 7 and Chippewa County Road 4,  north of Maynard, Minnesota.

Fifty nine year-old Timmy Tarnowski of Pelican Rapids was eastbound in his semi on the highway.

A 32 year-old Brooklyn, New York man was northbound on the county road when the collision happened.

Tarnowski died in the crash.

The pickup driver was taken to the Willmar Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
