Man appears in court following high speed pursuit in Big Stone County

CLINTON, Minn.–A western Minnesota man is facing charges following a high speed pursuit in Big Stone County.
Twenty six year-old Mario Delgado Junior of Clinton was in Big Stone County Court Wednesday facing charges of Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving.
A deputy attempted to stop Delgado on a traffic violation in Clinton Tuesday night, but the driver fled, reaching speeds of over 100 miles an hour and making several high-speed turns on city streets in Clinton.
Delgado eventually crashed into a fire hydrant, then fleed on foot but was arrested a short time later.
Delgado was booked into the Traverse County Jail in Wheaton, but has since posted bail.
