Majority of South Dakota’s corn, soybean crop rated in good condition

For the week ending July 5, 2020, there were 5.5 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service in South Dakota.

Corn condition rated 1% very poor, 2% poor, 15% fair, 65% good, and 17% excellent.

Soybeans blooming was 37% and conditions rated 1% very poor, 2% poor, 17% fair, 65% good, and 15% excellent.

Spring wheat headed was 90% and conditions rated 1% very poor, 6% poor, 25% fair, 59% good, and 9% excellent.

Oats headed was 91% and conditions rated 0% very poor, 6% poor, 24% fair, 60% good, and 10% excellent.

Sorghum headed was 13% and condition rated 0% very poor, 1% poor, 20% fair, 66% good, and 13% excellent.
