Longtime incumbent defeated in Sisseton City Council race

SISSETON, S.D.–A light voter turnout Tuesday to fill a pair of city council seats in Sisseton.

Vote totals show incumbent Lee Solberg winning the Ward One race with 103 votes. Rochelle Schultz received 38 votes.

In the Ward Two race, the longtime incumbent Herman Wegleitner was defeated by Connie Rudolph 38-to-31.

Wegleitner has served as Ward 2 Alderman since 1979.
