Light snow forecast in eastern South Dakota

ABERDEEN, S.D.–A low pressure system will pass through the region Tuesday night.

Very light rain or snow is possible Tuesday afternoon before precipitation turns mostly to snow during the evening and overnight hours.

Snow will intensify during the overnight hours Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and an area of 1-2″ of snow is possible.

The James River Valley has the best chances of seeing snow in excess of one inch.That would include the cities of Aberdeen, Huron and Mitchell.

Snow amounts in Watertown are expected to be an inch or less.
