WATERTOWN, S.D.–A rather light agenda for the Watertown City Council to work through at their Monday night meeting tonight.

Consent agenda items include authorizing the city manager to sign 911 dispatching contracts with Clark, Codington, Day, Deuel, Grant and Hamlin Counties for the years 2023 and 2024.

Also on the consent agenda is authorization for the city manager to accept a Homeland Security grant of more than $52,000, which would be used by the police department to purchase new digital radios.

On the regular agenda, the council will consider a purchase agreement for a new zamboni at the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena.

The arena won’t open for another year, but the council needs to consider buying the zamboni now to ensure they have it when the arena opens.
