BROOKINGS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The South Dakota State women’s basketball program missed the NCAA Tournament this year but earned an automatic bid to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament. This marks the fifth WNIT appearance for the Jacks, the first since 2017. State made a run to the WNIT semifinal round in 2014.

SDSU has rattled two wins off in the WNIT, 87-57 over Ohio State last Thursday and 78-57 against Minnesota on Sunday. The Jacks will face Drake in the third round of the WNIT Thursday, 7 p.m. at Frost Arena.
