WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown City Council is not meeting tonight as they normally would on the third Monday of the month.
There’s no meeting tonight because of the President’s Day holiday.
They’ll meet Tuesday night instead.
One issue that’s on the agenda is a lease agreement for a junior hockey team from the North American Hockey League (NAHL) to play their home games in the new Prairie Lakes Ice Arena.
The NAHL is made up of players in their late teens or early 20’s who are no longer playing high school hockey, but want to continue polishing their skills in hopes of earning a scholarship to play the sport at the collegiate level.
