Langer, Parnevik and Clarke commit to Sanford International

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (News Release) – PGA TOUR Champions golfers Bernhard Langer, Jesper Parnevik and Darren Clarke have officially committed to the Sanford International presented by Cambria September 7-13 at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Born in Anhausen, Germany, Langer is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and has 113 worldwide victories during his five-decade career including two major championships – the 1985 and 1993 Masters. He represented Europe on the Ryder Cup team 10 times and captained the team to victory in 2004. Langer holds the record for most major victories on the PGA TOUR Champions with 11 and is second all-time in wins with 40. Langer also serves as a member of the Sanford International Board, a team of leaders involved in the guidance, direction, oversight and promotion of Sanford Health’s global efforts to improve the human condition, which includes oversight of Sanford World Clinic and selection of the Sanford Lorraine Cross Award winner.
Parnevik, born in Stockholm, Sweden, joined the PGA TOUR in 1994 and collected five victories from 1998-2001. He played on three consecutive European Ryder Cup teams from 1997-2002. In 2015, Parnevik joined the PGA TOUR Champions after overcoming several injuries. His first victory was in 2016 at the Insperity Invitational. He finished T-25 at the 2019 Sanford International.
Originally from Northern Ireland, Clarke’s biggest victory came in 2011 when he won The Open Championship. He has won more than 20 tournaments worldwide on the European Tour, PGA TOUR, Sunshine Tour and Japan Golf Tour. He was a member of five consecutive European Ryder Cup teams from 1997-2006, winning on four occasions. The 2016 Ryder Cup captain finished T-21 at the 2019 Sanford International.
