Lakers split Saturday games

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Lakers would split their games Saturday at the Maas.

The girls would down Yankton 5-1. Jaclyn Lloyd and Jalyn Reihe would score two goals each. Taylor Espland would tally and assist. Emma Foisel would stop 15 of 16 shots on goal. Watertown would outshoot Yankton in the contest 38-16.

The boys would fall to Sioux Falls one, 6-2. Brayson Bohling and Austin Green each scored a goal for the Lakers. Green and Blair Boomsma each would notch an assist. Owen McBride would stop 25 of 31 shots on goal. Sioux Falls would outshoot Watertown 31-27 in the game.

The Laker guys fall to 3-12 and travel to Yankton on Sunday, February 14th. Laker girls improve to 5-7-1 and travel to Mitchell on Sunday, February 14th.
