Lakers have a tough weekend on the road

WATERTOWN, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Laker boys and girls teams would have a tough weekend.

The boys would fall to Sioux Center on Saturday 8-3. Blair Boomsma, Ethan Beebe, and Austin Green would each score for the Lakers. Owen McBride would stop 28 of 36 shots on goal. The Lakers would be outshot in the contest 36-16.

On Sunday, Sioux Falls Flyers two would defeat the Lakers 4-3. Boomsma, Beebe, and Trey Allard would score for the Lakers. McBride would stop 28 of 32 shots on goal. Sioux Falls would outshoot the Lakers in the contest 32-26.

The Watertown Laker girls team fell to Sioux Falls Sunday 3-0. Emma Foisel stopped 44-47 shots on net. The Lakers were outshot in the contest 47-10

The Watertown Girls are off till January 1st when they travel to Brookings for an 8 p.m. game at the Larson Ice Center. The Watertown Boys are off till January 8th when they host Huron at the Maas for an 8 p.m. puck drop. Jeff Anderson will have coverage of the boys on 1480 KSDR and GoWatertown.net/Lakers.
