Lakers have a tough road weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — Watertown Laker Boys Hockey would fall at Sioux Falls One on Saturday night 6-1. Blair Boomsma would score the lone Laker goal. Jake Bramer added the assist. Owen McBride stopped 51 of 57 shots on goal. Watertown would be outshot in the contest 57 to 17. The Lakers continue their road series at Sioux Center on Saturday, January 8th.

The Laker gals would have an 0-2 weekend with losses at Sioux Falls and Sioux Center. Jaclyn Lloyd would score Watertown’s lone goal on Saturday in a 9-1 loss to the Sioux Falls Flyers. The Lakers would be outshot 49 to nine. Lloyd would again be the solitary Laker to knock one through the net in a 4-1 L to Sioux Center on Sunday. Watertown would be outshot again in the contest 31 to 13. Watertown will come home for a rematch with Sioux Falls at the Maas at 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 8th.
