SIOUX CENTER (GoWatertown.net) — A big four-goal first period would power Sioux Center past Watertown 5-3 Saturday.   Watertown would try to complete the comeback with two goals in the third but would fall short.

Mason Witt, Jacob Rieffenberger and Trey Allard would each knock one through the net for the Lakers. Owen McBride stopped 25 of 30 shots on goal.

The Laker boys will travel to Yankton on Saturday and Sioux Falls Two on Sunday.

The Laker girls would fall 11-2 to Sioux Falls on Saturday.  Jaclyn Lloyd and sister Janel scored the lone Laker goals. Angelyn Birnell stopped 37 of 48 shots on goal.

The Laker girls are off until January 29th and 30th when they come home to face Rushmore.
