BROOKINGS, S.D. (GoWatertown.net) — The Watertown Laker girls would fall at Brookings New Years Day 4-1.

Taylor Espland’s goal would be the lone score for Watertown.  Emma Foisel would stop 38 of 42 shots on goal.  The Rangers would outshoot Watertown in the game 42-27.

Watertown would bounce back in a big way on Sunday downing Yankton 7-1.   Taylor Espland would lead the scoring attack with three goals and two assists.  Jayda Kranz, Skylar Kuhlman, Jaclyn Lloyd and Jillian Busch each contributed one goal.  Emma Foisel stopped five of six shots on goal.  Watertown would outshoot the Gazelles 55-6.

Watertown (2-5) comes back home to face Sioux Falls on Saturday, January 9th.
